Yesterday saw us invited to the Maes Manor for the 3rd time in 5 weeks, this time for the wedding of Jody & Gwyn. We have known the couple for a few years now, after they purchased a family portrait session in our studio back in 2013 they were looking for wedding photography Maes Manor and came straight to us. I was honoured that we were asked to cover the wedding (evening cutting our family holiday short by a a day to be able to do so!) They had booked an all day wedding photography package, including two photographers and our photobooth in the evening.
The weather was perfect from start to finish for there wedding, infact it was so warm we ended up doing a lot of the smaller group shots under the cover of the beautiful trees in the grounds as it tends to be a bit cooler under there. Jody looked simply beautiful in her dress, and her makeup applied by her very talented niece Lauren. Gwyn looked rather dashing with his bestman Mike and the other groomsmen.
The first time Gwyn saw Jody walking down the aisle he had a little bit of a teary moment…but soon managed to gather his composure to complete the service carried out by Ystryth registry office. The walk back out was to the song happy and they both danced a jig as guests covered them in confetti.
We got some beautiful shots in the grounds of the Maes manor, evening using the wall of Joe Calzaghe’s garden as a backdrop. The most spectacular shots were with the stunning VW camper van on the drive though. please check out the wedding photos below to see what we mean! it does make a wedding photographer’s job very easy with such stunning backdrops and beautiful couples!
we ended the night with our famous photobooth, included free of charge with any wedding photographer package with two photographers. we had so much fun all day, the booth was the icing on the wedding cake.
