We don't listen to music while riding, and don't have a bunch of electronics we want to pair up to such as a GPS. Universal pairing feature, compatible with most of the Bluetooth headsets or earpiece in the market. Simply slide the clip between the shell and EPS cushion, or if desired, the 3M Scotch double-sided adhesive may be used to affix the bracket directly to the surface of the helmet. The LX-B4FM can connect to other Bluetooth devices supporting HSP/HFP (Headset Profile/Hands Free Profile) and A2DP (Advance Audio Distribution Profile).

Expert Opinion: The Cardo Packtalk Edge is a cutting-edge Bluetooth motorcycle headset designed for seamless communication with up to 15 riders within a 1mi range. The intercom tells you battery percentage when you power up, so at the end of the day I turned it off and then back on and it reported "low battery" which makes me think we were getting to the end of the batteries life, about 10 hours in intercom mode.I'm able to connect B4FM-1 with my G9 mobile-1 and B4FM-2 with my G9 mobile-2, but I can't find a way so that we speak to each other (all 3 at the same time). If you don't want to use clamp plate mounting bracket or you have some problems with using it, you can use the 3M tape bracket to adhere it onto the helmet. From our advanced P5 Portable Tire Pump to our motorcycle wireless chargers, you can get everything you need for the open road right here. It takes a while to get a feel for what buttons you are actually pressing while focused on the road in front of you. There were a lot of cheaper options, however most have drawbacks such as complexity in setup, short battery life, noisy comms while moving, dropped connections and cheap or flimsy mounting and hardware.

Now, if you are one of those brave souls that hit the roads with a half-head, à la bucket-head style helmet, you'll be out of luck with this headset, unless you rig-jig something up with the aid of a few zip-ties. Where I had to McGyver things was where the wires come out of the helmet to the unit, my cheek padding needed a cutout to pas the wires. The outdated tech of the B4FM puts it at the mercy of more advanced headsets that have better features and software. I had some concerns that this might cause a problem with water getting into the electronics as the USB-C connector used for the mic and headset now faces forwards, but so far it has been used through some serious rain with no issues. My experience: The intercoms came in a nice box with everything I needed to do the installation, including both a boom mic and an internal mic. All things considered, sometimes less wiz-doodles allow for more focus to enjoy the experience of the ride. The one piece of motorcycle equipment/gear that didn’t give into the hazards of the elements was the LEXIN B4FM Bluetooth Headset. Coming home Planet Rock and once off the A1 I could hear the music but by no means clear (again when slowing down as soon as below 50 things became clear). To remove the main unit from the bracket, use the Dismounting Stick to insert it between B4FM unit and the mounting bracket, then push the B4FM main unit up from the bracket.

You can then turn on the connections by pressing the intercom button on one of the bridges to start the bridge to bridge connection, then each end unit until all 4 intercoms are talking. And features an 800 mAh battery provides up to 15 hours music or intercom talk with over one week of standby time. With the Sena 50C, there's no need to memorize awkward finger position combinations to access features. Next, the microphones on the boom are directional, it say's outside on it and you better install it with the words away from you, otherwise you will get very low volume and a lot of background wind noise. I’ve tested the B4FM on an Icon Alliance helmet for sportsbike-style riding, and on a Shoei RF-SR helmet for standard cruise riding. So a small 1/4" channel was cut into the cheek pad plastic retained and voila, successful installation.

So each motorcycle has one end unit, and one bridge unit, and the bridge units connect the 2 motorcycles. Yesterday we were set to go for an all day ride to get some pie, have a burger and let the girls do a little wine tasting in backcountry Ramona. Does anyone have this intercom model and has been successful getting it to work with the Google Assistant? Last intercoms I had were old dumb and cheap wired ones which were useless above 30mph, so the Lexin's are a revelation to me.But, then again, if you are looking for a ride off the beaten path or a way to disconnect from invasive technology and social media, the reliable and simple functionality of the B4FM is just what you need. Any similarly shaped small flat device should do if you don't have the original dismount key on you.
