When Clare is not teaching at the Language Centre, she is the director of two consultancies: Doris and Bertie, which trains people to write, and Broom & Moon, which helps organisations communicate their purpose, vision, strategy and values. Over the years, she has helped senior executives at a wide range of businesses and governmental organisations communicate their ideas engagingly and persuasively.
