Uncaged Wallflower is for those who feel trapped in the thoughts their minds produce, unable to express them with the rest of the world out of fear of critique or disagreement. From her deep connection to water to her passion for visual storytelling, Hannah shares how her personal and professional paths have intertwined.

Toward the beginning there’s this beautiful passage that so perfectly captures what it’s like to have anxiety. I loved this honest, heartfelt poetry collection that uses imagery of oceans, tides, and anchors to describe a journey through heartbreak and back to finding one's own voice. With every new page, I wonder if the author somehow has followed me through life and narrated my thoughts and clumsy and awkward conversations. I stepped cautiously in front of my mirror to find a girl with swollen eyes dressed in armor, protecting her body from the stings of the words I had been throwing at her for years. Poetry for the soul that walks a fine line between losing yourself in the world and finding yourself again, often in the smallest of moments. in the absence of the sun is a poetry collection that explores our midnight thoughts--the "nightmares" and "dreams" that haunt us when we are unable to sleep.

It touched the deepest parts of my being that I have kept locked away, kept hidden, and have healed from.

the bus slows as it arrives at my stop and i stand too soon, stumbling to catch myself, praying i won’t fall. It reminded me of the pain of heartbreak, of what it takes to love oneself, what it’s like to heal, to dig your own self out of the pits.

Shelby also makes excellent points about self-doubt, self-love, insecurity, and anxiety that I really relate to as someone who has been diagnosed with anxiety (and who struggles with self-esteem).Her sensitivity comes through in every word-making the reader feel like Shelby isn't only sharing her own personal experiences but is being mindful of the reader's comfort. Everything You’ll Ever Need (You Can Find Within Yourself) is Charlotte Freeman’s first book and was written from the most vulnerable places of the heart. I highly recommend it as an invaluable source for understanding the ways in which Christian mission has been undertaken through the years in this great Continent. A dynamic soundtrack reacts to player and environmental actions, amplifying key moments in the game and heightening the atmosphere, meaning pulse pounding crescendos, serene moments of reflection and everything in between are created by, rather than scripted for, the player.

I am picky with poetry, but I cannot ignore it when it is a direct mirror of myself looking back at me.The words were so beautiful and I love the writing style as well as how the author shared her insights and feelings through poetry. changing with the tides is a powerful collection of poetry that uses the expression of realization as its main theme. I do think it was a quieter, less impactful (to me, personally) collection, but that’s not to say that some poems didn’t hit me very deeply. Although it was at times strengthening, due to her exploration of struggle, pain, and mental health, at other times it wasn’t an emotionally easy read for me.
