Last weekend saw us attend the wedding of Drew & Becky at St Tileos Chuch in Abergavenny, followed by the reception at the Maes Manor in Blackwood. Having Met the happy couple at a wedding i had shot a few years ago and got on great, we knew it was going to be a fun packed day.
We arrived at the brides grandparents house in Abergavenny for bridal prep a few hours before and it was fun being mixed in with all the bridesmaids getting ready. We captured images of the dress, AWESOME vans wedding shoes and bouquet aswel as images of Becky having hair and makeup applied.
Whilst this was going on, our second photographer was shooting the groom and groomsmen at the church, a great backdrop for any wedding photographer. We got some great shots of them having a bit of a laugh (at the grooms expense!) and some awesome groom portraits.
Becky arrived in style in a classic car, and her rather dashing father walked her down the aisle. The church is very strict with photography but we have a great working relationship with them and we did get some beautiful shots inside the church.
After the service we all travelled over to one of our favourite wedding venues in south wales, the Maes Manor in blackwood. We have covered many weddings at this venue, and we are always finding even better shots!
This visit was no different, with this time of year giving us some bluebells and other wild flowers in the woods infront of the maes manor.
We would like to take this opportunity to wish the bride and groom a very happy future. You really were such an amazing couple to work with and we felt more like guests at the wedding rather than photographers. You really are made for each other and we can’t wait to see you again soon for the big showing of all your wedding photos.
