wedding photographer Neath
monday saw us cover the wedding of Tina & Jamie at the Glyn clydach hotel, just outside Neath in South Wales. They booked me after enjoying a family portrait session with me last year, and i have been looking forward to this day ever since!
The bride and groom had decided to hire us for an all day digital photography package, with two wedding photographers so we could capture the wedding from different angles. we really enjoy shooting a wedding with two of us, as it frees the shackles a little to produce better candids whilst official images are still taken.
The wedding day
The day started with beautiful sunshine, although this wasnt to last! we captured images of Tina getting ready in the beautiful bridal suit, and some stunning shots of the dress (including a heart warming shot of her daughter looking up in awe of the dress). Whilst this was happening, the second photographer was outside with all the groomsmen capturing those last few nervous glints in the grooms eyes. The service was perfect (even if the bride forgot to carry the bouquet down (its ok no-one noticed!) and Jamie showed all his emotion as he saw Tina for the first time. After a moving reading from their eldest child, it was time to go outside and start to formal images. We got the big group photos done first, so we could free everyone to go to the bar whilst the bride and groom went off with Matt to get some bridal portraits around the grounds of the Glyn Clydach hotel. Half way through the shots, the heavens opened and we ran for cover, but it didnt end the shoot, just changed the direction. Using all our knowhow and experience we embraced the rain and got stuck in 🙂
we captured the wonderful speeches and some karaoke but saved the best till last, capturing some beautiful images of the bride and groom just after the sun had set with some amazing light in the sky hitting the clouds above Neath. I have been doing this job as a wedding photographer in south wales for nearly 6 years now, and that was one of the best skies i have had in a long time.
Thank you to Jamie & Tina for letting us be part of your special day as wedding photographers, it really was a pleasure to capture it for you and we wish you and your family all the best for the future.
