Wedding photographers in cardiff
When Kelly & John were looking for wedding photographers in cardiff, we were lucky enough that they spotted our wedding album in the park hotel in pandy, showing off our images from a few years ago. We really hit it off at the meeting and we had been counting down for the wedding ever since. I think its safe to say kelly is one of the most organised brides i have ever worked with, planning every little detail to make sure the day ran as smoothly as possible, and also doing alot of work herself or with friends and family.
The Wedding day
The results of Kellys hard work…? the perfect wedding day. Every single guest at the wedding had a lovely time, from the moment the guests arrived to well after the time we left. They made the day unique to them, they didnt conform to what they thought was needed, and because of that it was one of the best weddings we have had the privilege of covering. We managed to get some unique shots from ideas kelly had given us, aswel as capturing the day as it flowed. The bride looked simply beautiful in her elegant dress whilst its safe to say James and all the groomsmen looked the part in the suits.
We got to the park hotel near Abergavenny nice and early to capture the bridel prep…to walk in to the room 2 hours before the service to find kelly nearly ready in her dress! it gave us lots of time to do some fake makeup shots etc and concentrate on some really classy portrait shots of kelly in her dress in the stunning rooms at the park hotel. As this was going on, our second photographer had been with John in cardiff capturing images of them getting ready and setting off. The benefits of having two photographers!
The Service
The bride and groom decided to do away with modern tradition and have all the bridal and grooms party enter the service walking down the aisle. Firstly John and his best man followed by everyone else, finishing with Kelly and her father really making an amazing entrance. The service was personal to them, and the readings selected (and read incredibly well by guests!) really did have us laughing. Kelly had requested us to do something a little different for the first kiss, and with the help of the registrar (it helps being on first names with most of them around in south wales!) we managed to get a birds eye shot of the first kiss with all the guest in the background.
The Reception
We had a lovely confetti shot as the bride and groom walked out of the building to two lines of guests chucking mountains of confetti as they walked. Group shots were done rather quickly thanks to good planning and well behaved guests before we got onto my favorite part of getting creative with the bridal portraits. although we have shot many weddings at the park hotel, it never amazes me how we always find somewhere or something new to shoot…at this particular wedding using the oak tree in the centre of the garden much more than we ever have before.
I think you will all agree…the shots of kelly in the gardens and in the window really do look perfect!
The whole day gave us opportunity to capture images of people laughing and smiling, and i think that is in no doubt down to the hard work of the bride and groom and the dedication to have the perfect day. thank you to kelly and john for letting us be part of it and we look forward to having you in soon to view the images
