Wedding photographer Usk
Treasured Photography were recently invited to cover the wedding of Leighton & Louise at cwrt bleddyn just outside USK, south wales. When the bride and groom were looking for a wedding photographer Usk, we were lucky enough to be recommend to them by a few friends, and we were only happy to shoot this stunning venue yet again!
The big day
The weather forecast leading upto the big day was a little depressing to say the least…with a weather warning for heavy rain issues the night before. We always tell bride and grooms not to worry about the weather, as there isnt anything you can do about it, other than book a wedding photographer that is prepared for all weather conditions (we had a 4×4 full of lighting equipment based on every possible weather condition!) but luckily the sun was shining on them both pretty much from the start of the day to the end. Its amazing sometimes how wrong the weather men can be!
Louise & Leighton decided to book an all day pacakge, with two photographers, meaning that they both got to see what each other was upto before the service, aswel as our photobooth in the evening free of charge! The bridal prep was busy, with louise having 6 bridesmaids, all supporting each other and keeping the bride as calm as possible (even after one of the bridesmaids tried to drink champagne through there eyeballs (dont worry Nat i wont name you as the bridesmaid….) They all looked amazing in there matching outfits!
Louise was ready on time and we got some lovely shots in the room, before her father came in for a reveal shot, and boy did it get a reaction! Glyn was favourite to cry (i think he was evens as the time came) and he didnt let us down, shedding a tear as soon as he saw his beautiful daughter dressed in her stunning wedding dress. Wedding photographers are there to do a job, positioning everyone in such a way we got beautiful wedding photos…but keeping it as natural as possible…we cant wait for louise to see these shots in particular!
The wedding service
So once the makeup had been touched up, and the emotions got under control Glyn walked his beautiful daughter down the aisle of cwrt bleddyn. Leighton was second favourite to cry at 3-1, but bless him he kept looking forward unable to turn back and look at the fantastic entrance made by his bride, although there was a definite tear in the eyes. The service was perfect, taken by the Usk valley registrars.
After the marrige service we gathered everyone in the courtyard for the group photos. We had some fun with the guests at this point and then took the families off to the lake for a few smaller group shots. The sunshine at this point was incredibly bright, and luckily we have some powerful lights to help overpower the sunlight allowing us to get photos in and out of the sunshine. Bridal portraits always look better with the sun behind the couple, but you do need the equipment to be able to shoot like this
Wedding photography at sunset
After some amazing food (thank you yet again cwrt bleddyn) and some emotional speeches, we took the bride and groom back outside for a beautiful sunset shoot. I had been keeping an eye on the weather for a few hours and all signed pointed to a few minutes of perfect light…and boy did it happen. We got some amazing portrait shots of the bride and groom together, and individually all as the sun was setting on there first day as husband and wife.
thank you once again for inviting us to be your wedding photographer usk, it was such a pleasure to capture your special day and share it with your amazing family and friends. we hope you enjoy these sneek peeks and look forward to seeing you once you return from your honeymoon
