You can put a different "fan out" mascara on later in the day/night if you require a bigger effect such as a night out or whatever but I never bother, I just use some eyeliner, top up any gaps with this and off I go! This is my favourite mascara as I previously walked around with two black eyes, it doesn’t give as much volume as other mascaras but I like the ease of application and removal with this. I’ve found that coating the lashes over and over defeats the purpose with this product and lashes end up looking clumpy and wrong.

If like me you are after a mascara that will stay all day or all night regardless of tears or sweating down the gym, swimming or on the bike (or just general overheating) THIS is the product for you! However it always irritates my eyes, it makes them water for ages after putting it on and is almost impossible to get off without irritating my eyes further. The instructions say to ‘Dampen a cotton pad with warm water, hold over lashes for 30 seconds, then just wipe away’.This ‘upgrade’ is awful: clumpy, difficult to apply and almost impossible to remove without pulling out lashes. The mascara stays on solid for the whole day, does not peel off and does not rub off- I find this very reassuring as need to be presentable at all times at work. My lashes looked as if there was no mascara on them and when I applied another coat it went on in little lumps.

Stays put all day, holds a curl, doesn’t flake or smudge and removes easily with water, and cleanser if you like. Waitrose too can offer you those sweet treats - try their Seriously Chocolatey Dipping Sauce which is simply heavenly!Really the only thing is that it flakes a little but it’s super easy to just brush these off from under your eyes and they leave absolutely no marks unlike other mascaras. This is, no exaggeration, the first mascara I’ve ever found that has no smudging whatsoever under my eyes. The claim they have on the packaging is ‘long lasting volume’ but I don’t think it should be advertised as a volumizing mascara. Not all of us want clumpy, caked on mascara with weirdly curvy brushes that tend to stab you in the eye if you don’t hold it in a particular way, that then flakes off under your 👀 after a few hours wear. I'm SO glad I did, its seriously everything-proof, I only wanted a waterproof mascara for my holiday but I will be using this all the time.

I have been using mascara for at least 20 years and I have never had my lashes come away like they did after using this product.It used to go on like a dream, stay in place all day but then come off with only water on my fingers. It does bare minimum in terms of length and volume, and I would only use it on its own on “no make up” make up days. Be aware though it isn’t a completely budge proof mascara, it’s not swim proof and if your eyes water then you rub them then the tubes will start to slide off. Don't worry though, the hard-wearing formula is easy to remove, simply soak a reusable cotton wool pad in hand-hot water and watch your mascara melt away.When removing it, the mascara breaks down easily and into little flakes which took some getting used to. I was absolutely terrified to continue trying to take the rest off - thought I would have no lashes left by the end of it all. I found it a bit dry and clumpy and didn’t feel it gave ‘voluminous lashes’ as it says but it was ok.
