About this deal

Being outsold by awesome beverages like water and soda, it seems the In-Bev marketing folks wanted to try capturing the non-alcoholic beverage market. It is a wheat beer that contains hardly any hops, but often has a bit more carbon dioxide than other beers.

However, by the 1950s all these breweries had closed their doors due to the style going out of favour, with the beer drinking world being engulfed by the lager tide. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The flavour of raspberry is added for a floral, fruity twist, and the alcohol is removed for an enjoyable summer drink. Like me and many others, do you suffer from a health condition preventing you from consuming alcohol? Its certainly a business move, just a shame I think, although as you mentioned, the beer has been tweaked a bit from the original formula. That’s fine and probably a good way to expand or not stick out so much for those who are DD or non-drinkers. The problem with ghost ship is that it still contains alcohol at 0,5%, which for people like me who need to avoid alcohol for medical reasons is still problematic and dangerous. Perhaps a Labatt brewer goes over to Belgium and introduces the Hoegaarden brewery to Labatt’s notoriously bad brewing practices, and insists that the team make this travesty to his/her bottom-of-the-barrel specifications, I just don’t know.

Good Food Revolution is made possible by the continuing financial sponsorship of our Certified Good Food Fighters. At long last Hoegaarden have made an Alcohol Free version of their classic Belgian Wit beer, it's all very exciting . an alcohol-free beer so truly terrible that it will put you off ever drinking the proper weapons-grade stuff. Indeed, my cousin Paul worked many years in the Netherlands, and brought many interesting beers home with him for us to sample, likened it to drinking Fairy Liquid.

Not helpful and very arrogant as well as a bit disrespectful to people who have no choice but to drink 0,0% non alcoholic for health reasons, when he can not only drink 0,5% but fully alcoholic beer, wine and spirits as well. Hoegaarden is probably the most familiar beer of its style (wheat beer with botanicals) available to UK drinkers and one I remember drinking at least 20 years ago.

It is joined by The Warehouse Taproom, Bar and Restaurant , a fantastic venture which allows us to showcase our superb drinks range, with an accompaniment of great dishes.

So, as I mentioned a few weeks back, I’ve been trying out quite a few of these non-alcoholic beers lately. What I do know is that you should never let this tastebud-free-focus-group-concocted swill touch your lips, and what more would you expect from the world’s largest brewer?
