The red paintfill portion in Stingray appears like they were shooting for Scott cherry bomb red, but they did not use enough paint and you can see silver through in some of the letters. Matt has worked in nearly every job in the golf industry from club fitting to instruction to writing and speaking.

A lot of that is because of how I play my wedges around the greens, but I found my comfort level with these so much faster than I did with the FLX grinds. Rob Lang mentioned they went through countless shaft combos, and this KBS model clearly gave the best feel, flight, and spin combos for most players. I did notice right away there are more grooves than my current wedge (22 grooves that are narrow and seem shallower on the stingray, my Wilson has 15 or 16 grooves but with microgrooves between).Indi Golf Wedges: Models To Choose From With some of the technology that Indi golf discovered, they decided to make both conforming and non conforming golf wedges. I’m a 3 capper who spent a lot of time this last year upping my short game to the point where it is now a definite strength for me. The “Indi” logo is centered, and the only other visible markings are the ports near the heel and the “TT” at the edge of the blade. Once my playing partner got it in my head to just toss the ball at the hole, I had a lot more success. With the clean look, impressive spin, and great feel, this is a wedge that works for a wide range of players. I have only had a few minutes to hit chips around the practice green with the 56 non conforming but definitely noticed the ball getting more spin. I am absolutely amazed at how INDI has taken a tour quality club, that looks so comfortable and manageable at address and constructed it to be so forgiving and with so much spin!

First off, the spin that I was able to generate with the conforming (TT) grooves was very impressive for me. Having been someone who has taken the time to test every release that has come from Indi, it is easy for me to say that this iteration has been my favorite. What it’ll do is add some more meat along the edges of the wedge face, and that will effect feel and forgiveness. Yes, for those that missed it, last year’s StingRay wedge was a non-conforming wedge that had massive grooves, allowing even the most spin-deprived players to experience that hop and stop shot.
