This diver flaunts diamond-cut silver hour and minute hands, a second hand with an orange varnished tip and a matching orange varnished 24-hour GMT hand which indicates the time in a second time zone by pointing to the hour-circle (24-hour format) on the flange of its dial. I wanted the GMT specific for travel but if I had the money I would pick up one of the 200c's or the Ocean Star Tribute. Like any seasoned traveler, the ideal travel watch has to be flexible and thickskinned, versatile, and always precise.

Year after year, brands introduce GMT models with an extra hour hand and a 24-hour scale to indicate time in another time zone, and for obvious reasons, they are some of the most practical watches on the market. In fact, I consider the Ocean Star 600 Cosc with rectangular hourmarkers quite close to being a reference design ideal for diving. Pull the crown out to the second position, independently move the local time hand to indicate the hour, and the GMT hand will show your home time. The simple truth is that they are designed with a specification that makes them brothers from different mothers. Hard to justify for me having that much money in two Ocean Stars so I bought the White Shark Save The Ocean Turtles instead since I didn't have a Seiko diver in the collection.
