OK, its a 2 part deal, why Jason Mamoa agreed to this is anyone's guess, his flamboyance seemed unnecessary as a character and to the storyline.None of that changes the technical proficiency of the video presentation itself, but it does diminish its potential for demo material, with only really the bookending sequences proving visual highlights. Since the franchise first began in 2001, we’ve seen Dominic Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his crew graduate from boosting DVD players on the streets of Los Angeles to flirting with the edges of outer space – and everything in between. Hitting that sweet spot with deliriously thrilling action, outlandish vehicular warfare, and a testosterone-fuelled clash of the Diesel/Johnson titans, Fast Five remains an unprecedented franchise high, and looks suitably spectacular in 4K.
