About this deal

It was such a pleasure to meet you both, and I really appreciated how smoothly and professionally you ran everything. It would be such fun to help the young ones to cook this food that comes from different places around the world. There is much more to this book than recipes … Across these few recipes are so many new flavours or tastes I’d given up trying on my daughter … Felicita Sala, I salute you. Lunch at 10 Pomegranate Street is bound to be a favourite in every child’s house, giving, as it does, ten recipes for delicious food to cook and share. You guys were so fab and Dawn was such a lovely presence in the schools - I will absolutely be in touch next time I'm in your neck of the woods.

Mister Ibrahim is remembering his childhood home as he bakes aubergines and mixes in the tahini, while across the hall Jemima and Rosie argue about who has taken the last banana. The deep, soft colours, the wonderful faces and rooms, are so detailed and interesting, it’s almost as if each picture is just waiting to be walked into . Your words, like your reviews, bring books to life and give them a voice before the front cover is even turned. She has illustrated many picture books, contributed her art to magazines and newspapers, and has also worked on papercut stop-motion animations.

Yourself and Bob are much cherished in our booky world and I personally really appreciate everything that you do. It seems such an obvious creation, yet there is so much to discover, learn from and create from ‘ Lunch at 10 Pomegranate Street’. The world’s cuisines are brought together with some well-considered pencil strokes – a book for adults to drool over, as well as children.

This delightfully illustrated children’s cookbook offers a global menu of dishes to share with friends, family, and neighbours … Combining simple, fresh flavours with recipes from around the world, this book will nourish and inspire budding cooks while whetting the appetites of their more experienced helpers. There was just the right amount of choice to suit everyone without being overwhelming and I received comments from parents and staff about the quality of books offered compared to previous sales which have always been based around current crazes and well known celebrity authors. Above all, these characters and their dishes an entrancing and heartening representation of global culture and life. A glorious celebration of community, filled with recipes from all over the world and simple instructions perfect for young chefs, a visual feast to share and delight in. A gorgeous way to share recipes from around the world with children, Lunch at 10 Pomegranate Street serves up an array of flavours from the residents of each apartment with simple instructions and tasty ingredients to inspire even reluctant tasters to step into the kitchen.

Yotam OttolenghiIn each apartment, someone is preparing a special dish to share with their neighbours.
