It is a much loved hard copy, which is a strange experience for me, as I read most books on kindle these days. It is easier that way with sleeping kids around. I don’t need both hands and proper lighting for it. Humans of New York is a blog I follow on Facebook mainly and now I can enjoy it without looking like a Facebook-/smartphone-addict. Yay!

It is an indispensable book in the library of any fan of New York. I loved reading Humans of New York and I loved reading this book Humans. The stories Stanton shares cuts through all the ways people are often portrayed, the exaggerations and the overlooked, the hyped and the ignored. It reminds me of the time I spent working for the government, interviewing people in my county and in surrounding counties. I remember thinking, others need to do this, too, see what people are really like, not the ways they are portrayed in the news, on tv, in movies, on social media, and in books.
