While a handheld model is convenient for spot cleaning, they aren’t designed for cleaning an entire carpet or stairs. Along with a smaller burst of steam, handheld models also have a smaller capacity. This means they don’t provide steam for as long as larger models. The upside is the reduced capacity also minimises weight.
