I try to rein in my surprise when a woman who can’t be more than five foot five steps out of the car and turns to face me. I love the virgin trope when it’s the man, it’s less common and it really works in this story so well for me. Just when I’m sure I’m going to have to dive into the ditch for safety, a loud squeal pierces the air as they slam on their brakes, fishtailing all over the road. I wait for whoever it is to make the first move. To roll down the window and ask if I’m okay. To get out and apologize. To do anything other than sit there. It’s too dark to see into the car completely, but I can feel them staring at me in the rearview mirror. Lowell has to be the best goddamn father on the planet. He did everything he could for her while she was pregnant. He is the best father I've ever seen. He deserves all the happiness that the world has to offer.

One Timer is the third book in the latest series from Teagan Hunter and is my favourite so far. Having met Carolina Comets captain Lowell at her sisters wedding and hooking up, the last thing Hollis expected was the little “surprise” they they got. Ryan is a romantic who's also sassy and Rhodes is a grump, who has some hidden soft parts. There were great friendships, some hilarious family members, adorable pets, and I just loved these two together once they allowed themselves to truly have a relationship and leaned into their attraction. I loved that this couple had some very vulnerable scenes together too, along with some hilarious bonding ones. Also, their physical chemistry was obvious from the first so despite initial rules about no sex happening, it was just themselves that were being fooled. They ended up with some spicy scenes together too. This was so fun! The heroine was quirky and I loved it! The hero definitely fell first and their connection and chemistry was swoonworthy. I’ll definitely be finishing this series! I would love to have some changes in the general starting plot especially because the cheating ex boyfriend really doesn’t do anything for the plot. Let’s just let her be single and not hurt by an asshole before.I am not about to hurl myself into another relationship. Getting burned like that once was enough for me, thanks. So I keep it light and casual in that department. The one-timer isn’t just good for the ice. It’s pretty much how I get by.” I shoot off a text to Rhodes, the one guy on the team who doesn’t want to choke the shit out of me, hoping it’ll go through eventually and he can send someone to help. Her eyes are bright blue, so bright they’re almost white. Her lips are pouty and full, the bottom one just slightly larger than the top. Her nose is small and upturned at the end, but not in a distracting way. It’s…cute. The heroine: Harper - she is an artist with a love of horror movies, so she put those two loves together to create a specialty business creating horror dolls. She does dolls from movies, zombie dolls and the like and her sales have been growing. This was a great introduction to the series and Collin and Harper were some great characters. I love the text/message exchanges between Harper and Collin throughout the book and I loved the way their relationship developed throughout the story. There were some really comical moments mixed with some deeper/heavier moments that are always so well balanced in Teagan's work.

I’m a fan of Tim Paige & Callie Dalton and I think they did a really great job with this story. They both not only did well with their own voices, but also with their secondary voices as well. They brought the story to life for me and made it an exceptional listening experience! She really didn’t seem like she recognized me at all, but maybe she’s just a really good actress? I have nothing to base that on. I don’t know her. Which makes me even more of an idiot for willingly getting into the car with her. I enjoyed the development of Lowell and Hollis’s relationship as they came to terms with their reality. I really liked these characters, they were well suited to one another even though they don't see it. There were numerous moments were I found myself laughing so much that I almost cried as these two stumbled their way through their new relationship.

Spor temalı kitaplar okumayalı oldu biraz. Eskiden severek okuduğum bir temaydı. Ama son zamanlarda karşıma çıkan kitap tanıtımlarında "erkek karakterin üstüne kendini atan kadınlar(dikkat ediniz çoğul)" içeriği gözüme çok batar olmuştu. Neyse ki bu kitapta olmaması benim için artı bir unsurdu. I rlly liked the beginning. I liked the characters, the writing and the pacing of the story but I knew something was wrong but I can't pin point just one thing.I walk about a mile before I see headlights pop over a hill in the distance. Whoever it is, they’re flying. This is the second book from the "Carolina Comets" by Teagan Hunter and I loooved it. This is also the second book I am reading from the author and she already became one of my favourites. Overall, I had a great time reading One-Timer, and I loved Hollis and Lowell's story. I can't wait for the next book to have more content from them and their baby because they are so precious 🥺 But most of all, I can't wait to read Emilia and Smith's book! Miller is putting 200% into this relationship and I loved it because it was very visible by his actions that he is a kind loving soul that would do anything for Scout BUT YET AGAIN SOMEHOW SHE THINKS HE IS ONLY IN A RELATIONSHIP WITH HER BECAUSE HE FOUND OUT AFTER THAT SHE HAS HAD A CRUSH ON HIM FOR 2 YEARS
