Luke Skywalker’s Red Five helmet is a superb addition to the LEGO Star Wars Helmet collection, and one that would look incredible displayed alongside the other helmets, or next to a LEGO X-Wing. Ideally the UCS Red Five X-Wing Starfighter. Unlike the Batman cowls, Luke’s helmet looks very smart, capturing the iconic details incredibly well. It’s not without its faults, though: the ridge at the top is perhaps a little small compared to its on-screen counterpart and, while a very valiant attempt, the trans-orange goggles don’t quite work. LEGO minifigures of beloved Star Wars™ characters accompany the dioramas, as well as plaques inscribed with legendary lines like Luke’s “I am a Jedi, like my father before me” and Darth Vader’s “The Force is strong with this one”. The details are spot-on, and despite some minor niggles like the fidgety chin strap, this is by far one of my favourite LEGO Star Wars helmets yet, as it looks great displayed on its own, or with the other helmets in the collection.

Among these is the UCS Republic Gunship, and if previous UCS sets are anything to go by, this set could jump up in price when it hits the aftermarket. So if you're wanting to add the Gunship to your collection, now's the time to do so.Keepability [5]– With a vastly expanding collection, these are sure to be collector’s items and will maintain their value

Now that we have Rebel helmets, I can’t wait to see more of these – maybe we’ll get those aerodynamic Rebel Helmets soon! The bright colours, and contrasty pops of red, yellow and white detail look great against the mostly white helmet, and like others in the collection, the helmet is perched on a sturdy stand. As with all of the LEGO Star Wars Helmets, no minifigures are included with the set. This is not the section you are looking for. Move along, move along. — Price —If this set was priced slightly cheaper, it would feel like better value for money. Whether that will be an issue comes down to what you place more importance on when purchasing a set: if it’s the final model then this will prove to be a decent buy.
