Description

A treasure map falls into Truman's hands. This sends all the kids in search of what they think is a great surprise. Disrupto is a robot who appears in "Big Bullies" and "The Human Touch". In the latter episode, it is revealed that he is capable of interacting with a computer. He then appeared in the series finale "Closing Up Shop", where he informs Seymour Polutski that smoking is not permitted in the shop before confiscating the cigar with his left claw and using the new toy Goopy Gary as a trap, prompting Polutski to escape and withdrawing from his proposal. Dumbass Has a Point: Even in his later more bungling incarnations, Sly has a habit of sometimes pointing out holes in Gobbo's schemes, or making ideas that the latter then passes as his own. Leitmotif: In the 90's stop-motion series, when ever an episode takes place inside his Toadstool house. A calm and peaceful theme would usually play which is sometimes heard during moments when something very bad happens. The book Noddy Goes To Sea and its adaptations has Master Tubby in a prominent role in Noddy's misadventure (that he caused).

Noddy lies about eating a whole box of Googleberries while looking after Dinah Doll's stall. He convinces the entire town that a monster has eaten them all. Thinking that he's too little, Kate and D.J. won't let Truman look after a rabbit named Snowball. Then Snowball escapes, and it's Truman who is just the right size to rescue her. Non-Ironic Clown: His design in Toyland Adventures resembles a clown in the 90's stop-motion series. Those Two Guys: Master Tubby is commonly seen with Martha Monkey in Toyland Adventures and Make Way For Noddy. Characterization Marches On: In Make Way For Noddy, Master Tubby was more cheerful and friendly if still rather mischievous. In the original books and 90's series, he was a complete jerk when it comes to what he wants.Noddy promised to help all his friends, but he is soon tired, and realises that he has bitten off more than he can chew. The Sandman (played by Colin Fox) appears in "The Sandman Cometh". He casts a spell that puts everyone in the shop to sleep. Leitmotif: Mr. Plod has his own character theme in the 1970s stop-motion series and Make Way For Noddy. When the Toy Town residents cannot decide who will go first in their annual parade, Big Ears steps in and sorts everything out.

Halt in The name of the law" in the original books and Toyland Adventures while it was "Halt in the name of Plod" in "Make Way For Noddy". Adaptational Skill: Between Toyland Adventures and Noddy In Toyland, Big Ears had the ability to cast magical spells and owned books about magic which was part of his family. It's more prominent in the CGI incarnations (mainly in Make Way For Noddy and Noddy In Toyland) and was used in the 1994 stage show. In the books and older works, Big Ears never had the ability to cast magic. Not-So-Harmless Villain: Most of the time their plans are fairly tame and mischievous than outright malicious. But at times they expand their plots. In "The Goblins Stopwatch" they manage to freeze the entire of Toyland with their magical watch. In its first season on PBS, the show was seen by an average of 2.5 million viewers per episode, higher than Sesame Street's average during the same year. [1] International success [ edit ] In the 70's stop-motion series, Big Ears was grouchy and sometimes rude around Noddy and the other citizens of Toytown. In one commercial from the 70's, he and Noddy started a fight over Big Ears' new wallpaper.Took a Level in Kindness: While still pompous in Make Way For Noddy she still acts very kind and polite around other citizens compared to her previous appearances in the original books and stop-motion series.

Lichtenstein (voiced by Matt Ficner) is a beer tankard shaped like a Viking's head, usually referred to simply as "Stein". He doesn't speak much, but could usually be seen singing along with the songs. When Litchenstein does speak, he has a noticeable German accent, and ends many of his sentences with "Ja". The other toys can hear him coming by the distinctive "Parp Parp" sound of his car's horn and the jingle of the bell on his blue hat. Often he uses his car to visit all of the places in Toyland. When his taxi business is not doing so well, or when he needs help, Noddy turns to Big Ears. Big Ears will often lend him what he needs. On occasion, Noddy will allow people to make his head nod, in exchange for small items such as his morning milk. In "Noddy in Toyland", their names have been swapped over - meaning Sly is the naughty troublemaker who seems to be the leader of the duo, while Gobbo is more ditzy and goofy. Kate loses the ruby ring her mother gave her while playing a fishing game with her friends, and Johnny Crawfish has a new fish named George move into his tank.Sam (played by Daniel Madger) is Truman's new friend. In "Ask Permission", he takes the mermaid without asking Noah, so Truman decides to tell Sam the Noddy story about Noddy setting a trap for Sammy Sailor, like the one Kate told him.
