I hated Vicious. Not because of the bully aspect but because I felt zero chemistry between Emilia and Vicious and I found the sex to be poorly written. I also found Vicious's possessiveness and jealousy to be creepy. I don't know, personal preference I guess. Unlike Vicious, I couldn't help but love the tension between Alex and Ava. It was clearly there, and while it was angsty at times, it was also soft and beautiful. I never found Alex to be creepy like Vicious, which saved part of the story for me. But, after finishing Twisted Love, there were a lot of things that were similar to Vicious that ruined the story a little for me. Writing is addictive, gripping, and entertaining and some of the lines were simply beautiful. I know that this series is insanely popular and it has a huge fan following, RHYS AND BRIDGET ACT LIKE CHILDREN, argue with the wall. and the suspense element was also much better in the first book because there was actually some action. the suspense (can we even call it that?) in this was so badly done compared to the first book. i think i appreciate ava and alex's story more in that aspect because we actually see it unfold and, like i said, there was actually some action. not only that, but right from the beginning, we're thrown into this "suspenseful" act so we go through the book wondering what's happening (even if you know what it was). with this, there was none of it for me.

It was a dirty , ugly want, tainted by the blood on my hands and a desire to drag her out of the sunshine and into my night. Despite all that though, I really liked the characters. A lot. I liked how this story progressed. The forbidden element was really honed in on, the angst was beautifully torturous, I loved that Bridget really took on the role of being a future queen. I wish we had more of that. And I loved that the age-gap wasn’t an issue. I mean, they had bigger shit to deal with but it never felt like a hindrance because our two main characters were so in tune with one another. Plus it helped that Bridget was actually mature.

This book does justice to the grumpy x sunshine trope along with the forced proximity trope. The mystery aspect of the book made the plot very interesting and kept readers rooting for this couple. Twisted Love is a contemporary brother’s best friend/grumpy sunshine romance. It's book one in the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone. Finally, I do think that I might read the sequel since I truly enjoyed the friendship group in here and I do think that this author has a lot of potential. So do I recommend this book? I think this could be the perfect example of a guilty pleasure read in my opinion. Many things needed to be done differently but this wasn’t a horrible read in any way. Yes, Twisted Love is spicy as it has explicit open-door romance scenes that are pretty steamy and is meant for a mature audience. Twisted Love Spice Level Shy and introverted Stella Alonso, a social media star, is balancing her two jobs and has no time for love but she’s a romantic deep down.their banter was cute the scenes were cute but personally it wasn’t enough for me to be convinced with his new macho man personality towards her. there wasn’t enough depth to be honest. like i didnt get the vibes he cared enough for her to call her “his” because even when he saw her having night terrors in the beginning, i got the vibes he didnt care for her that much and still acted like she was a nuisance. i don't know what came over me but suddenly i... i um.. that quote above... i LiKe it... so if you know me, no you don't.

now meet, Ava(h): she's gone thru sm near-death experiences, but always manages to see the good in people. and beyond that and her love for photography and her phobia, i really couldn't tell you what her personality is. but I'll let her speak for herself too: Regal, strong-willed, and bound by the chains of duty, Princess Bridget dreams of the freedom to live and love as she chooses.

Overall, Twisted Love is dark, twisted, entertaining and addictive romance full of tropes and drama. The thing that bothered me the most, however, wasn't the writing, it was the TIME JUMPS. This was insane. I felt like this book was just a bunch of one-shots (by that I'm not talking about the smut but rather emphasizing how uncoherent the story was, it felt like a collection of short stories about the protagonists) and absurdly huge time jumps in between. Often times, I found myself really enjoying the story and the progression of it and then boom, A THREE-MONTH TIME JUMP that provided nothing but gave the author a chance to move on with the next plot point without building any relationships between the characters. rhys talks dirty. other than that there’s nothing else about him that was appealing. tattooed and scarred. muscled. NEXT! the beginning was a huge snooze with really nothing going on. plus we then have some crazy bullshit get pulled?? like alex is a full psycho killing stalker maniac and ava still wants him??? spare me the headache PLEASE let me tell you he's acc not. alex is a man written by a woman who has probably never had any interaction w a man before he's so cringey you won't believe it - but I'll let him speak for himself 😵‍💫

i lowkey missed the girl gang vibes here, if we had more of that it would've perhaps helped bridget form an actual personality. I wasn’t expecting it to go this way, since the first 40% or so of the story felt a bit meh. But I was anticipating this story since the first book came out. I was already rooting for Rhys and Bridget. Alex: Alex is Ava’s brother’s friend. He is the CEO of a company. When Josh goes on a medical tour to South America he asked Alex to look after Ava. It was interesting to see how Alex’s armor was chipped slowly and how he let himself open to feelings and emotions. I loved how strong and brave Ava was, and how she learned to be independent and got over her phobia. But next to being hilarious, I also loved the chemistry between Ava and Alex. It was easy to see that Ava really liked Alex from the start. She always sees the best in people. But Alex’s character was much harder to get to know. And I loved how his tough exterior slowly melted through Ava’s influence. eldorra? i only know genovia. princess diaries walked so books like this could run but all TG did was stroll towards disappointment lane for me. i respectfully don't care enough about the plot to go into details about it, but if you must know, it was very poorly executed and i did not care one bit for anything that was going on. Now she’s forced to live a life she never wanted. Rhys and Bridget’s complicated feelings for each get even more tangled in the web of royal duties.
