About this deal

Needless to say, this is one of the strongest books in the franchise, mange or light novel. It helps to flesh out Dazai, Akutagawa, Kenji, and Tanizaki and brings home the elements of the their characters that we don't always get to see but that are important to the story. It's bittersweet in the right way, a way that makes us contrast those two central phrases. I don't think I'd be able to review this properly. Like how do I express it with words?? It's so heartbreaking to know what Chuuya had gone through and what leads to Verlaine's action and NOW I TERRIBLY MISS BSD SO MUCH😭😭 He wasn't afraid of death, for he believed that hell would be far more pleasant than this place. Nor did he fear the pain of dying, as day after endless day was nothing but torture." *CRIES Here is the thing: BEAST AU was created solely by Dazai to save Odasaku. "This is the only world where he could write his book", and it's true. Canon!Dazai was implied to command Beast!Dazai to save Odasaku, and it's true. Which means, that this whole thing happened solely because Dazai wanted to create a world stabile enough for Oda to live.

The light novel continues the story after the events of "Fifteen" and the Arahabaki incident. This book basically explores Chuuya's past. I absolutely loved this book and this was one of my most anticipated releases for this year. No way I could ever rate it less than 5 stars. It has everything I needed - no romance, fight scenes, sci-fi, supernatural abilities and great characters. Also, only bungou stray dogs can make you empathize even with the anatgonists. Beast - tells the story of an alternative version of the world of Bungo Stray Dogs. The light novel has been adapted into three manga volumes. It is not part of the main BSD universe. Flags. The group of Chuuya's friends. Thank you for teaching him what he needs to know in mafia. And thank you for being the one who makes Chuuya feels valued. Without doubt, I'd give this book 5/5. You don't have to worry, this book is maybe will damage you, but it's worth it.

I am currently obsessed with this manga, and the light novels are just everything. Reading an actual novel about characters you only know through manga is amazing, it’s like seeing the story from a whole new perspective. And the fact that these novels are exploring the most beloved characters… I wish every series was like this. Murase, who has since been bent on getting Chūya out of the Mafia, tries to strike a plea deal with the mafioso to be released with Shirase in exchange for selling out internal Mafia intel, which Chūya flatly rejects. Adam breaks Shirase out of jail at Chūya's behest, but Verlaine storms the facility and corners them. Chūya arrives despite Adam's cautionary messages and fights Verlaine. Before Chūya uncontrollably unleashes Arahabaki again courtesy of Verlaine, the latter spots Murase and kills him—his actual first target—before retreating. Chuuya is my favorite character and seeing him go from "So I am human, after all. I feel stupid letting something like this bother me in the first place…" to "Whose heartbeat is it, then? Mine? That's absurd. I'm not even human. Something as sophisticated as a heart wouldn't suit me." broke me. I got goosebumps just reading the beginning when it's mentioned he doesn't dream.

Honestly, I love all bsd light novels because the words are... poetic? hurmm I think that's the right word. All of them are beautifully written, including this one.Book Six: DEAD APPLE (English/Japanese) Animated as a movie, Bungo Stray Dogs: DEAD APPLE. It is also getting a manga adaption. So, first of all I'd like to say, this book... this book is absolutely BEAUTIFUL. No, it's more that just beautiful, it's MAGNIFICENT. If you have read the synopsis, you'll know that this book is sets in a parallel world where the good main character becomes the bad guy and vice versa. Honestly at first, I was a little afraid to read it because usually when I read about the parallel world of a novel (yes, in fanfiction etc), I don't see the connection with the original story. For example. the characters become completely different or there's no explanation on how the parallel world exists. But in this novel, in this story... BOOM Asagiri sensei perfectly connects the relation between the original world of Bungo Stray Dogs and its parallel world. I might sound exaggerating but, you'll know that it's true if you read this book. I wish I can say how the relationship between these two worlds is explained but uh-oh it will be a spoiler then hahahaha I love the way he build relationships between Akutagawa and Atsushi with the other characters. I even love it the way he gave us brief view of how it would be for shin soukoku if they meet in a normal world.
