About this deal

This 86-part plastic kit makes five Mymidesh Painbringers for use in Warhammer Age of Sigmar. It comes supplied with five 32mm Round Citadel bases. The kit can alternately be built as Symbaresh Twinsouls. The leader and the Claw-Spear have access to Impaling Strike, an ability that for a Triple allows to do damage on charge (if you finish a movement within 1” of an enemy do as much as 6 damage). The good thing about those 2 abilities is that to be efficient you don’t need a high value: a Triple 1 is enough for the Shardspeaker and a Quad 2 or 3 for the Lord of Pain (you don’t need more than Strength 6 and in most cases 5 is enough). Slaanesh has been imprisoned since the Age of Myth by the Aelven Pantheon (Tyrion, Teclis, Malerion and Morathi) in the Hidden Gloaming, a sub-realm between Hysh, the realm of Light, and Ulgu, the Realm of Shadow. How rude of him. With a Casting Value of 7 (6 on dice for him), it’s pretty easy to throw out. Gross.

Symbaresh Twinsouls are warriors (usually ex- myrmidesh) of the Slaanesh Sybarites that, chafing amongst being one amongst the faceless many, took the shortcut to power and allowed themself to be possessed by a daemon of Slaanesh - this is achieved through ritualistically marking their bodies with runes of conjugation and offering up the souls of six aelves. Is the Syll’Esskian Host from the Tome Celestial still playable? RagnarokAngel Note: This one should still be playable – GW made a clear statement that White Dwarf rules would still be allowed past a certain date. Though given that the costs are now so much lower this might be FAQ’d. Slaves to Impulse (Double, all Slaangors): Perform a bonus move towards the closest enemy as long as it was maximum 6″ away. Do units that were fully wiped out count toward Depravity Points as “a unit on the battlefield that has fewer models in it than it did at the start of the turn?” That “on the battlefield” bit seems to indicate that they don’t count, which may be an OK failsafe for preventing players from gaining too many CP as they destroy enemy units. The Infernal Enrapturess lost her +1 Depravity every turn…lame. Fiends on the other hand kept their Disruptive Song ability which gives Wizards within 12” -1 to cast. They also do decent damage and now that non-Hero units can generate Depravity Points, they might see real play. The New Stuff Note: if you haven’t read the basic rules for Warcry before reading this article, it might be helpful to know that the game’s abilities are activated by using 6 dice that you roll at the start of your turn. This is a MASSIVE change – basically, instead of heroes required for all of the work, every unit on the table is a potential Depravity Point waiting to happen on every player turn. And the most anything costs to summon is 12… for 30 Daemonettes or a Keeper of Secrets. Before we dive in, note that we won’t be covering everything – stay tuned for an upcoming Start Competing: Hedonism for more depth. Additionally we owe a “thanks” to Games Workshop for providing us with a preview copy of the book. The Major Changes Introduced in the new season of Warcry, Reactions are things that can be done in certain circumstances, but always during the enemy turn. They cost one action, so they can be used only by fighters that have not activated yet or are waiting. There are 3 universal reactions and one specific to each warband:

The Sybarites are the mortal followers of Slaanesh, each exemplifying a particular trait brought to the excess, from the lowliest Blissbarb Archer to the mightiest Lord of Pain. Since then, the arrogant aelves extracted souls that once Slaanesh devoured during the destruction of the Old World, to repopulate the Mortal Realms with new civilizations (the Daughters of Khaine, the Idoneth Deepkin and the Lumineth Realm-lords). Slakeslash is a Slaangor Fiendblood with higher damage (3/6) and wounds (22) and same ability to perform a bonus run towards a close enemy (remember that now costs a Double not a Triple). The Hellscourge does not have access to this ability, but the 3″ range can be useful to outsmart those fighters with 2″ range, meaning he can be even further protected from retaliation.

As was teased on Warhammer-Community this week, there are three different ways to build Hedonites armies now. Lore-wise, these are a bit weird, since they seem to hint at a Hedonites faction that is still hunting for Slaanesh as opposed to one that has actively seen its god return to the fold. Many of these are pulled forward from the last Hedonites book, and a lot of this will be familiar ground to veterans. Still there have been some slight tweaks that we’ll point out where we see them, and we’ll still be calling out some of our favorite rules from the book for those of you new to the faction. Invaders

The Myrmidesh are an elite warrior-cult who exemplify the pride of the Dark Prince. Each of their blade-sects considers their own favoured technique to be supreme, and on the rare occasions they are proven wrong, their spiteful rage is terrible to behold. But how do the Dark Revellers play on the tabletop? There is nothing excessive in looking at their deepest detail. Overview and Points for the Fighters in the Slaanesh Sybarites WarbandTarget practice: Blissbarb Seeker High-Tempter, Shardspeaker, 2 Blissbarb Seekers, 3 Blissbarb Archers, 1 Blissbrew Homonculus. How to buy a Slaanesh Sybarites Warband Tips on painting the Hedonites of Slaanesh What changed in the new edition for the Slaanesh Sybarites Dark Revellers? If you’re a Hedonites player, you’ve got good reason to be excited about this new tome – the new range looks great, some of the units are really strong, and there’s good reason to believe that this new version of the army will return the faction to its place among the game’s top-tier armies. One of the most magnificent new miniatures in the range (and doesn’t he know it) is Sigvald – and he deserves a place in every Hedonites army. This superlative duellist enjoys nothing more than showing off his skills at every opportunity, striking down his mark before they can lift a finger, claw, or blade in opposition. So, when this article refers to an ability being a Double, a Triple or a Quad, it refers to this system. It might sound a bit confusing, but takes no time to get used to when you start playing

And yet, for all their supplication and sacrifice, the Hedonites find their master’s throne empty, for the God of Excess lies imprisoned between the realms by the sorcery of its aelven nemeses. It is for this reason that roving bands of Slaanesh’s faithful march from realm to realm, seeking out any information they can find that might aid in their god’s release – and slaughtering all who would dare get in their way.

The Myrmidesh are your perfect defensive piece, with one of the highest Toughness available in game together with a decent melee profile. The Slaangors are in the middle between a cavalry piece (6″ Movement but not mounted) and a damage dealer, being slightly more efficient in killing than a Symbaresh. Their special ability costs a Double and, combined with the 2″ range of their weapon, allows them to get really close to an enemy without necessarily engaging them.
