I had a real problem with connecting to the main characters and I think that's what kept throwing me out of this book. The Chemistry For Dummies is a chemistry textbook ideal for students/readers who have little to almost no prior knowledge about General and Organic Chemistry. This book purposely uses everyday activities in presenting the ideas and concepts of chemistry step-by-step for beginners. Some books are written more clearly than others, and every student’s learning style is different; a visual learner may prefer a text with plenty of illustrations, while a hands-on learner might benefit from a book bundled with interactive content and practice problems. There’s a best tool to learn chemistry for everyone. The Best Chemistry Textbook: Our Top Choice

The book should be able to explain the complexity of topics in a relatable and understandable way. This way, you can easily cascade the learning experience and learning curve to your students. Are You A Student?I don’t want to go into the other characters in the book, but I will say that Meyer did an incredible job at creating a varied cast. None of the characters felt like carbon copies of each other, or like two dimensional characters added merely to bulk up the cast. Every character felt real, and had their own fears and hopes and quirks. Meyer also presented dogs in a wonderful way, where they felt like fully fleshed out characters in their own right. I have a soft spot for authors who include animals as legitimate characters and give them their own vibrant personalities, so I was thrilled by this inclusion.

My expectations were really high and I was disappointed. How could the same person write the Twilight saga and this book? As you can guess from the name, this is not a textbook, but it can be an extremely helpful supplemental resource for a better understanding of core concepts.I have a love-hate relationship with Stephenie Meyer's work, and I think a lot of other people feel that way, too (even if they won't admit it). I'll start by saying that, yes, I do like TWILIGHT. The book, that is. Not the movie. I read it almost ten years ago, and I was at the perfect point in my life where it actually made a lot of sense to me. Because of that, I will always have fond feelings for Bella and Edward's admittedly self-absorbed world. Not everybody has access to a professional chemistry lab, so setting up a home chemistry lab is your best bet if you want to do chemistry experiments at home. Chemistry is … [Read More...] Can We See Real Atoms and Molecules? Electron Microscopy at a Glance With its clear explanations that make tough concepts easy for students to understand, we would rate this as the best chemistry textbook for high school of all the titles included in this guide. It may also be appropriate for remedial or introductory chemistry courses at the college level.

All in all, a high-quality text that is easy to use and ideal for students who are new to chemistry. Chemistry for Dummies The Disappearing Spoon: And Other True Tales of Madness, Love, and the History of the World from the Periodic Table of the Elements Chemical analysis is the practical part that applies analytical methods to solve problems related to the composition and chemical nature of matter. The fields of application of chemical analysis are very varied: in industry, the quality control of raw materials and finished products stands out; in commerce, certified analysis laboratories ensure the quality specifications of goods; in the medical field, clinical analysis facilitates the diagnosis of diseases.Plus, right off the bat she completely trusts the evil corporation she spent the last few years running from and manages to torture the wrong person. For those of you who may have never read a Stephenie Meyer book, please, I implore you, do not start here. If teenage angst and sparkly vampires are not your cuppa then might I recommend The Host. It is a highly enjoyable read. I liked him as a character - he was the only one with some sense in his noggin. He's rude, crass and a bit over-the-top but in a good way. Plus his dogs held my interest when all else failed.
