About this deal

So if something like the repair adhesive has some chance of working I would be willing to give it a try to see what happens. After speaking with large DIY stores and local floor fitters, it was clear the issue was extremely common. To apply the adhesive, you simply drill holes in the grout around the tiles and, with use of a caulking gun, then inject the extra strength bonding adhesive directly. You then need to let it dry over 24 hours, before finishing the process by re-grouting the drill holes you previously made - it really is just a drill & fill exercise.

Fix A Floor :: FAQs Fix A Floor :: FAQs

I have a ceramic tiled bathroom floor where quite a few tiles in the centre, mostly where the heating element is located, have become loose. Much of the grouting has crumbled away but although some of the tiles could be lifted out the heating cable is often embedded in the adhesive layer that remains on the bottom of the tile or, sometimes, on the false plywood floor that was laid for the tiles to be bonded to.Storage & organisation Furniture Textiles Kitchenware & tableware Kitchens Lighting Decoration Rugs, mats & flooring Beds & mattresses Baby & children Smart home Bathroom products Laundry & cleaning Plants & plant pots Home electronics Home improvement Outdoor living Food & beverages Christmas Shop Shop by room Thanks Chris. The floor area that does not have heating under it still seems solidly bonded - other than the doorway but that is not a surprise. I think the heating element layout just gets under that section at one point. So I am sort of hoping that the flex that exists (the false floor is laid on top of a tongue and groove chipboard original floor) may be sound enough to work adequately well to extend the life of the installation - as you have suggested. That would be a suitable outcome for now. A: Fix-A-Floor works great on all size problem areas from 1 tile to the whole entire floor! Works on all types of Tile, Marble & Stone floors too! The UDT Frogmen of yesterday have grown into what's widely known as the elite US Navy SEALS of today. Does that sound reasonable? I assume the drilled hole is mainly required to allow the repair adhesive access to the void between the tile and the underfloor. In my situation that is already quite well exposed in most cases.

Our Story | Who We Are | Fix-A-Floor

Cut the Fix-A-Floor tube tip to fit snugly into the drilled hole. Slowly squeeze the adhesive into each hole, ensuring spillage is avoided. Move to another nearby hole if needed. Allow adhesive to spill up and out of nearby holes to ensure penetration and filling of the problem area. Empty the tube completely for full coverage. Just drill & fill through the grout lines (or wood), Fix-A-Floor will travel under the flooring and remove the squeaky & hollow sounds you have been experiencing.

For optimal floor and furniture protection over time, replace thinner, worn protectors with new ones. On D-Day, June 6th 1944 at Omaha Beach, Normandy it was the UDT Frogmen who paved the way to help land American troops to free the world from tyranny. Of the 175 Frogmen who risked their lives on this historic day; 31 lost their lives and 60 were seriously injured. Fix-A-Floor is a simple do it yourself repair that is fast, easy and affordable not to mention fun and quite rewarding to anyone who can operate a drill, caulking gun and mix up a small batch of grout. Works on all sub-floor materials. Just Drill & Fill!
