The Shires Velociti GARA Pony Pad also boasts a suede seat for extra grip, and stainless steel fixings. Due to the shape of the Shetland Forma, we don’t offer embroidery options – but we can embroider the Shetland Classic. A great little starter saddle for children, the Velociti GARA leather pony pad is hardwearing and comfortable. He has a very short back so fitting a saddle will be tricky and I think this would be a good start for the kids just so they can get a feel for the pony a bit better and possibly get a deeper seat like we would get if we were riding bare back. At the front is a rolled leather strap to aid with balance, and the metal fixings are all stainless steel.

Maintenance: Remove all dirt with a damp sponge, then treat the leather with Ezi-Groom leather soft soap.

The Shires Velociti GARA Pony Pad is a great starter saddle for younger riders to use on their ponies. The pad would just be for my 2 year old son and my 4 year old daughter to ride on the leadrein with. We know that some riders can be very specific with their colour requests, so we hope that this will give some choice. The pad will not be sufficient on it's own for riding properly and definitely not for an adult or larger rider.
